After asking around, I've decided to go with the ladybug for Enamel Girl's stamping contest. I love the ladybug mani, and if it weren't for the fact that one of my nails is splitting (again), I'd keep it on for much longer. As it is, I'll just save it for another time.
After I used the ladybug stamp, I filled the outline in with my DPN that I use as a dotting tool and then redid the spots that got covered up during the fill-in. After a few coats of top coat to smooth the bugs out a bit, I sponged the darker greens on with a makeups sponge and followed that with some more top coat.
Details:
Base Color-Pure Ice in Wild Thing
Stamp- Konad equivalent m30
Stamping Color-Wet N Wild WildShine in Black Creme
Fill Color-Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in Honeymoon Red
My comment keeps disappearing, so I hope I haven't said this several times. I love you're ladybugs. I never thought to use a dpn as a dotTing tool. Very MacGuyver of you. I also spin, knit, and cook, but only do the most basic crochet. Thanks for sharing your pretty nails.
ReplyDeleteSorry about that. It looks like Blogger marked the first 2 comments as spam and I only just saw your comments in my e-mail. Thanks!
